Can I drink the tap water?

While most resorts use filtered water systems, we recommend avoiding tap water during your stay. Bottled water is available for purchase at the hotel market and at nearby OXXO locations. Don’t forget to use bottled water when brushing your teeth as well! 

Do places take credit card?

Most restaurants take credit card, but some credit card companies have a foreign exchange fee. We recommend calling your bank ahead of time to check if you have one, and let them know that you are traveling internationally to Mexico.

Should I bring cash?

We definitely recommend having some cash on hand, as it’s easiest for tipping taxi drivers and for meals both inside and outside the hotel. In Los Cabos many places accept USD, but you’ll often get a better exchange rate when paying in pesos. If you’d like to exchange cash, we recommend doing so at the airport near baggage claim upon arrival.
